2019 Events and Happenings:

January 24th, the anthology, Strangers in a Strange Land: Immigrant Stories goes public. I have a story included in the collection, A Deal With The Devil, a fun little tale about illegal immigration, border politics and revenge. You can check it out here.

February 2nd, Interview with Gavin Reese on his Writers on the Beat podcast series. The series features ex-law enforcement types sharing the connections between on the job crime and their crime fiction work. Gavin and I talk about writing, crime fiction, and a very “unique” prison art project I encountered behind the walls.  Here’s the link.

March 2nd, The Sacramento Library Foundation presents the 17th annual Authors on the Move event. Over 350 library patrons attend to contribute to the Sacramento Children’s Reading Program. I’m attending as one of the featured mystery authors alongside Catriona McPherson and Eileen Rendahl. Here’s the link.

March 11th, listen to the Red River Radio podcast featuring Chris Rhatigan and Katherine Tomlinson, and a few of the contributing authors talk about the Strangers in a Strange Land: Immigrant Stories anthology. Chris reads an excerpt of my story, A Deal With The Devil, which was cool to hear someone else read my stuff. You can catch him near the 59:53 mark. Here is the link to the podcast.

March 28th-31st, you can find me in the Great White North for Left Coast Crime in Vancouver, British Columbia. Left Coast Crime is the annual western get together for crime fiction writers and fans. Here’s the link.

March 29th at Left Coast Crime, I’ll be on a panel of Law Enforcement Professionals 1:15 pm along with a couple of my favorites, Robin Burcell, R. T. Lawton, T.K. Thorne, and Mar Preston. A link to all the panels at Left Coast Crime.

April 11th, I’ll be speaking at the Folsom Rotary Club, talking about Sacramento’s connection to crime fiction and why I set some of my novels in the capitol city.

April 27th, Come and find me at the Folsom Author Expo at the Folsom, CA Public Library. Fellow crime fiction author Claire Booth and I will team up and represent. Here’s the link.

May 17th, The California Federation of Women’s Clubs will host a Book Club breakfast at their annual convention. I’ll be speaking about Sacramento’s unique place in crime fiction.
