I’m happy to announce that the paperback edition of Little River is now available at a great local indie bookstore, Face In A Book, in El Dorado Hills, California.

I chose Face In A Book , because it is more than a place where books are sold.  Anyplace can sell a novel, hardware stores, grocery stores and chain big box stores do it as an afterthought.  It takes an owner and staff committed to all things books, to make a community come together around the written word.

The other day, I was browsing the shelves at Face In A Book, when a young girl, maybe ten-years-old, came in and marched over to the owner saying she was sorry she missed the morning story time session.  Tina Ferguson called the girl by name and started up a conversation with the young lady.  In another corner of the store, a staff member and a patron talked about Young Adult books.  The place “feels” like a place where books and the people who read them are valued.
